🏆 Funding Wins
Lingo.dev Sparks a Global Glow with $4.2M Seed Boost
Lingo.dev, formerly Replexica, simplifies app localization for developers by automating front-end translations with AI precision. The startup nabbed $4.2M in Seed funding, led by Initialized Capital, with Y Combinator and angel investors pitching in.
Founders Max Prilutskiy and Veronica Prilutskaya, who sold Notionlytics last year, already power teams at Mistral AI and Cal.com with their mix of LLMs for context-aware translations. The duo kicked things off with a prototype from a Cornell University hackathon in 2023. “…the [goal] is to eliminate friction from localization so thoroughly, that it becomes an infrastructure layer and natural part of the tech stack,” said Prilutskiy. This raise will scale their vision globally.
Serverpod Soars with €2.7M to Elevate Flutter Futures
Serverpod, an open-source Dart app server, empowers Flutter devs to code scalable backends that sync flawlessly with frontends. They’ve snagged €2.7M in Seed funding, led by node.vc, with Greens Ventures and PreSeed Ventures chipping in.
By auto-generating client code, they tackle the headache of clunky server calls, making them as easy as local ones. Founded in 2021 by Viktor Lidholt (ex-Google Flutter dev), Isak Dunér (startup vet), and Alexander Sandor (Minecraft lead at Mojang), the team’s channelling this cash into Serverpod Cloud, a new Dart server base via Relic, and a slew of fresh features.

Augment Code is Bringing AI-Powered Coding to the Enterprise
Software engineering is a trillion-dollar industry, yet most teams still struggle with slow development cycles, fragile code, and endless backlogs of feature requests and bug fixes. AI-powered coding tools promised relief, but most have fallen short…until now.
Augment Code, founded by Igor Ostrovsky and Guy Gur-Ari in 2022, is built for professional teams working with large, complex codebases. Unlike generic AI coding assistants, Augment understands context; the architecture, dependencies, and coding patterns that make each project unique. The result? Faster onboarding, fewer context switches, and higher-quality code.
Augment’s rise has been swift. In April 2024 they emerged from stealth and raised a $227 million Series B round, bringing its total funding to $252 million and valuation at $977 million. Backed by Sutter Hill Ventures, Index Ventures, and Lightspeed Venture Partners, Augment is poised for rapid growth. Investors are taking notice. “Augment Code has built a truly brilliant team,” said Mike Speiser, managing director at Sutter Hill Ventures. “We are already seeing great things from Augment, and we are just getting started.”
For teams already using Augment, the impact is clear. Developers testing it against GitHub Copilot have called it the superior choice, with some reporting significant time savings when writing unit tests and navigating codebases. Speed is another standout – code completions happen in under 100 milliseconds, making interactions feel instantaneous. Engineers also praise Augment’s deep contextual awareness, which allows it to answer questions about unfamiliar parts of the codebase, suggest meaningful edits, and even provide real-time support via Slack.
Built with enterprise needs in mind, Augment delivers both performance and security. It’s designed for large-scale development, offering SOC 2 Type II compliance and robust third-party testing. With industry leaders like Eric Schmidt calling it “the most interesting” AI tool for coding, Augment is proving that AI doesn’t just assist developers, it amplifies their capabilities.
