We are now looking for a superstarst founding front end engineer. This is a role that blends the art of design with the craft of software development. It’s a unique position, one that will see you leading the charge in creating an intuitive, engaging user interface for the security data ETL platform. Leading the front end development efforts in a stand alone front end role, setting the standards. There may be plans further down the line to expand the front end team but for the forseeable future, this will be a sole front end developer role.

In Your First 90 Days:

• Lay the Groundwork: Begin shaping the front-end architecture and design standards to build a strong foundation for a scalable, high-performing, and user-centric platform.

• Strategize and Plan: Start formulating a UI/UX strategy that simplifies complex security data management, focusing on key areas to ensure immediate impact and intuitive user experiences.

• Collaborate and Refine: Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to identify and prioritize design concepts that enhance user interaction and journey.

• Establish Best Practices: Kick off the development of front-end practices and introduce essential tools aimed at boosting productivity and maintaining deployment quality.

• Seek Feedback: Initiate conversations with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, using their feedback to guide early design iterations.

What are we looking for?

• This role is only open for US-based individuals to co-incide with working with the US remote team
• 7+ years of experience specializing in front-end development with a bit of UI/UX design experience. Early-stage startup experience is preferred.
• Proven track record of shipping and iterating on products in an early-stage startup environment. Portfolio available or products you can trace your contributions to are a big plus.
• Proven experience building intuitive, data-rich user interfaces for security or data-intensive products, with the ability to design and implement scalable, performant front-end architectures that can handle large volumes of data.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical team members
• Proficiency in front-end development tools and best practices, including version control, automated testing, and CI/CD
• Mastery of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with familiarity with frameworks such as Svelte, React, Vue.js, or Angular
• Bonus points for experience with data ETL processes or security-focused products
• Willingness to contribute to product strategy and help define the startup’s vision and roadmap
• Proven ability to build and maintain a strong design system and component library
• Prior experience in a security or data engineering startup
• Experience with conducting user research and interviews to deeply understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors
