Will AI ever replace the role of a software developer? We are working with a Series B startup with over $250 million in funding that strongly believes that AI will help to enhance the developer and the SDLC, so they are creating developer tools to facilitate the partnership.

We are now hiring a very niche product engineer billing.

We’re looking for a Product Engineer to join a new Billing team and play a key role in driving growth and monetization efforts. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in metered billing, who can bring both technical skill and domain insight to product and engineering discussions.

What You’ll Do:

• Partner with systems and frontend engineers to design, build, and iterate on user acquisition, retention, and monetization initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and design teams to shape strategies and policies that drive engagement and revenue
• Lead development of billing systems, including integrations and metered billing infrastructure
• Help foster a data-driven culture, using analytics and insights to inform engineering and product decisions

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a strong background in full-stack development and/or systems programming
• Proven experience with billing systems, especially metered billing models
• A deep understanding of the developer experience, and ability to work collaboratively with users, designers, AI researchers, and engineers
• A data-driven, methodical approach to building products and enhancing user engagement
• Genuine passion for the future of AI and developer tools

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AI agent monetization
• Previous startup experience
• Passion for engaging directly with users and incorporating feedback
• Familiarity with billing platforms like Orb, Metronome, or similar
