Product Engineer – Developer Tools

Base to CAD $200k plus equity

Our client is committed to redefining how engineering teams build, deploy, operate, and observe event-driven applications. With $3 million in funding, they are now looking to increase their engineering team and a key hire is that of Product Engineer.

As a Product Engineer in an early stage startup, you will work closely with the Founder and CTO to help build out the product, playing a key part in influencing the product roadmap. If you are someone who likes variety and the chance to wear many hats, this role will provide an opportunity to flex your thoughts on product along with your software delivery skills:

• Collaborate on and hold discussions around the product roadmap, priority of feature development etc
• End to end software delivery across the fullstack to implement product features
• Working on Kubernetes, GCP, Postgres and NodeJS, ReactJS and Typescript.
• Discussing the most suitable tech moving forward to ensure that the product is built with the most appropriate tech for the future and scalability

What are we looking for:

• A fullstack developer with a product focused mindset
• Previous experience of working on developer tools /developer focused products
• Experience of taking the lead when it comes to product delivery
• Not only focused on technical and engineering aspects but also ensuring that what is being built fits customer needs and pain-points
• A strong understanding of system architecture, looking at concurrency, asynchronous operations, reliability and security.
