This ensures they can quickly detect issues, understand what went wrong, and implement solutions before executives even notice a problem.

The role:

With a mission to build the best data observability platform on the market, achieving widespread data quality requires more than just a superior product. You need to raise awareness about how data observability can enable data teams to deliver reliable data their colleagues can trust.

As the Senior Content Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in educating data engineers about the advantages of data observability. You will drive top-of-the-funnel results through content marketing and search engine optimization. While you will work closely with the head of marketing and founders, collaboration with the entire team will be essential.

As a member of the growing content marketing team, your day-to-day responsibilities will often include:

  • Regularly interviewing members of a target audience to gain insights into their needs, goals, and pain points.
  • Crafting compelling long-form content that engages target market throughout the customer lifecycle and repurposing it to maximize ROI.
  • Owning the execution of the content strategy, managing the content calendar, and leading quarterly brainstorming sessions.
  • Ghostwriting executive thought leadership content and creating press releases to secure media coverage in relevant industry publications.
  • Managing key relationships with freelance writers and designers, providing constructive feedback to elevate the quality of the content.
  • Skillfully distributing campaigns through social and referral channels to maximize ROI.
  • Auditing marketing programs, analyzing past performance data, and monitoring industry trends to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Tracking your progress toward company goals and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to leadership.

What are we looking for?

  • You have 3-5 years of content marketing experience at a B2B SaaS startup, preferably one that targets a technical audience (bonus points if that audience includes data teams)
  • You have a proven track record of driving meaningful results across the customer journey, but especially the top and middle of the funnel
  • You have a portfolio that demonstrates a commitment to publishing quality content, such as ebooks, white papers, and blog posts
  • You have deep expertise in content marketing and search engine optimization
  • You’re an experienced program manager who feels confident juggling multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with others
  • You have a degree in a relevant field plus industry certifications from HubSpot or similar that demonstrate a commitment to life-long learning
  • You’re comfortable with technology and find it easy to learn how to use new tools
  • You have a proven track record of writing high quality content that drives significant organic traffic.
  • Your content consistently ranks for targeted keywords due to your SEO expertise.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with an ability to create compelling narratives for a variety of formats.
