Hope you are all easing into the end of November without easing off the interesting work. We have some really interesting funding wins and launches from devtools creators. Plus if you are hiring, there is still real momentum in the market. If you are job‑hunting, there are some standout roles for senior engineers, managers, and sales engineers who want genuine ownership rather than “keep the lights on” work.

Datum launches with $13.6M seed for network capabilities

Datum has launched with a $13.6 million seed round. The platform gives cloud and AI builders access to capabilities like authoritative DNS, distributed edge proxies, global routing, and private connectivity through tools they already use. It targets new cloud platforms needing serious network presence without a dedicated team or months of custom build‑out. CEO and co-founder Zachary Smith talks about the reasons for Datum and his belief in unlocking the internet superpowers in this youtube video.

Momentic raises $15M Series A for AI‑era app testing

Momentic, founded by Wei-Wei W. and Jeff An closed a $15 million Series A led by Standard Capital with participation from Y Combinator, FCVC, Transpose Platform, Karman Ventures, and Dropbox Ventures. The platform is a verification layer that checks whether each release behaves as intended, already used by teams at Notion, Quora, Webflow, and Xero. As AI generates more code, Momentic focuses on automatically testing and validating behavior so changes still match product expectations before and after release. Read the announcement here.

Infracost raises $15M Series A to shift FinOps left

Infracost raised a $15 million Series A led by Pruven Capital. Co‑founder and CEO Hassan Khajeh-Hosseini writes in the company’s announcement:

Cloud spending is on its way to becoming a trillion-dollar market, and the biggest driver behind that growth isn’t AI spend or massive migrations, it’s engineers.

Infracost “shifts FinOps left” by plugging into GitHub, GitLab, and Azure DevOps to show the cost impact of every Infrastructure‑as‑Code change before merge, across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Features like Issue Explorer, AI‑driven AutoFix pull requests, and FinOps Campaigns move cloud‑spend decisions into the code review phase instead of after the bill lands. Read all here.
