AI is here to stay and our client has created an AI-powered development platform designed to enhance team productivity by providing context-aware assistance throughout the coding process. Their strong belief is that software should enhance developers, not replace them. It deeply understands large, complex codebases, enabling it to offer relevant code completions, suggest edits, and facilitate efficient collaboration among developers.

We are now hiring a Developer Advocate. Join the team in revolutionizing software engineering by connecting developers to AI-powered development tools that enhance their workflows and productivity. As a Developer Advocate, you’ll create compelling content, foster meaningful relationships, and build vibrant communities to drive awareness, adoption, and enthusiasm for AI developer tools. Your work will empower developers to seamlessly integrate AI into their daily processes, sharing practical advice and success stories from the community. As the voice of developers, you’ll play a key role in shaping our products and strategy.

What You’ll Do:

• Create Engaging Content: Develop tutorials, blog posts, videos, and other technical resources that showcase practical applications of AI coding tools, with a special focus on open-source development.
• Support Open Source Communities: Build relationships with key open-source projects and demonstrate how AI tools can help streamline project maintenance and contributions through personalized guidance.
• Share Success Stories: Highlight key learnings and achievements from the open-source community, customers, and developers worldwide.
• Engage at Events: Participate in, host, and speak at developer events, hackathons, and meetups to connect with the broader developer community and promote tools.
• Provide Product Feedback: Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, relaying developer feedback to help refine and improve our products.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in developer advocacy or developer relations with a proven track record of building authentic relationships in technical communities.
• Strong ability to explain complex technical topics through engaging, developer-focused content (e.g., articles, tutorials, videos).
• 3+ years of experience as a software developer with hands-on knowledge of modern development workflows and practices.
• Familiarity with open-source culture and best practices, with contributions to or maintenance of open-source projects.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong public speaking abilities and experience presenting at conferences.
• Interest in and understanding of generative AI and its role in improving developer productivity.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $180K to $220K, plus equity.
