Senior Product Designer

US remote

Base to $200k plus equity

A Series startup in the data observability space, that helps companies to understand, diagnose and orchestrate data health across and to put trust in their data. With a team of over 30 and over $20 million in funding to date, our client has created a platform that alerts data teams to quality issues before they affect business outcomes. Already trusted by companies like Klaviyo and Bose, they area a fully remote company that was founded by MIT allums and is backed by prominent investors.

The role:

We are now looking to hire a Senior Product Designer who will be a sole and stand alone designer workging with the head of product and co-founders to take full responsibility for the design function. In particular, we are looking for a designer who loves solving technical problems and is excited to bring their opinions on design. You will need some visual design skills, building the easiest to use and most powerful product loved by data teams. You will have strong UX and information architecture skills. There is already a design system in place and so we are not looking for a predominantly UI designer.

• Own the design process and strategy working with customers on a daily basis to deeply understand the challenges that cause them to fight fires on a daily basis.
• Collaborate with the co-founder and engineering team to research, scope and design workflows that solve these problems
• Help data teams preserve trust in the data that powers their entire business
• Designing interfaces and workflows that help data teams monitor what is most important across their data platform, visualize the behavior of their data over time, make sense of the dependencies between their data systems, and automate identifying and fixing data incidents
• Meet with customers to do research about new functionality, gather feedback on existing product, or discover forward-thinking product experiences
• Help unblock the engineering team to ship quickly while still aligning the team on a longer-term product vision
• Work closely with a co-founder to do qualitative and quantitative analysis on product usage and feedback
• Iterate on design system and component library to help the team ship beautiful and functional product experiences, faster

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of experience product design, interaction design, UX design, and information architecture for SaaS products geared toward technical users.
• Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams to build amazing products.
• Experience listening to and interacting with customers and driving product direction based on their needs.
• Experience working with engineers in a high-speed environment, and unblocking them with longer term, strategic design decisions.
• Ideal profile will be a designer who has already built and shipped developer tools
