AI is here to stay and our client has created an AI-powered development platform designed to enhance team productivity by providing context-aware assistance throughout the coding process. Their strong belief is that software should enhance developers, not replace them. It deeply understands large, complex codebases, enabling it to offer relevant code completions, suggest edits, and facilitate efficient collaboration among developers.

We are seeking a talented Product Designer to help shape the future of AI-assisted software development.

In this role, you will design and refine AI-powered coding tools, including in-editor chat experiences and data-driven insights. You will work across all levels of design, from strategic planning to UI execution, and have a unique opportunity to define AI interaction patterns.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the ML research team to enhance the discoverability and usability of the AI assistant in code editors and web interfaces.
• Partner with engineers to develop intuitive UX solutions that navigate editor limitations.
• Lead design workshops focused on transforming AI technologies into user-friendly product features.
• Work with Developer Experience and Marketing teams to identify new user needs and product opportunities.
• Contribute to and refine the design system.
• Drive the product design lifecycle from ideation to implementation, including sketches, user flows, and prototypes.
• Conduct user testing and validation to ensure seamless and effective design experiences.
• Align with product and engineering teams to define requirements and prioritize initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in product design, particularly within SaaS or software development tools.
• Proven ability to drive product experiences that users love.
• Strong foundation in systems thinking and design.
• Ability to set personal goals and balance speed with quality.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with research, product, engineering, and design teams.
